Importantly, sustainability is not just a one-time event. sustainable principles underlie all aspects of Shangri-La’s operations, from the sourcing of food courses and ingredients to the responsible use of energy and water. To complement this effort, Shangri-La has recently launched an ‘Enviably Sustainable in a Day’ menu to showcase these innovative offerings for guests to enjoy at any time of the day.

What is Shangri-La?

Shangri-La is more than just a place; it’s an idea. It’s a haven where one can find peace, relaxation, and a sense of harmony with nature. It’s a place where we can celebrate the Earth and all its bounty. And what better way to do so than with food? Sustainable cuisine is all about using ingredients that are good for the planet. That means sourcing locally grown produce, using sustainable seafood, and choosing organic meats and dairy. It’s also about reducing food waste and choosing recipes that minimize our impact on the environment. Shangri-La’s Executive Chef Morganearly is committed to sustainable cuisine. He sources many of his ingredients from local farmers and purveyors, and he creates dishes that are both healthy for diners and gentle on the planet. On April 22, he’ll be celebrating Earth Day with a special menu featuring some of his favorite sustainable ingredients. Join us at Shangri-La on Earth Day for a delicious celebration of sustainable cuisine!
